What is Google's affiliate advertising policy?
If you are new affiliate, and you want to use Google AdWords promoting products and services, you should consider about Google's affiliate policy.
Google AdWords allow affiliate to use AdWords advertising, but it will display one ad per search query for advertisers sharing the same top-level domain in the display URL. What does it mean?
It means. If you are promoting products the same as another affiliate, and every one is using the same (or a similar) domain in the display URL. You site will not be shown, if you are bidding lower than another one. Because Google AdWords will not display duplicate URL per search query for advertisers sharing the same top-level domain name in the display URL.
For example, for the domain vdox.com, Goolge AdWords would determine the following URLs and display URLs to be equivalent.
- home.vdox.com
- www.vdox.com
- vdox.com
- www.vdox.com/home
However, Google AdWords determine the following display URLs to be distinct, because each has a different top-leverl domain:
